Float Shreveport Liability Waiver & Professional Agreement
We want you to have an incredible and safe experience with us at Float Shreveport and request that you be aware of and agree to the following information and policies:
Facilities: Amenities provided include: towel, washcloth, ear plugs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, dressing area, and shower. Surfaces will be wet! It is up to each individual to exercise the highest level of caution when on premise, especially in the float rooms, in and around the float pools, and showering areas. The facility is cleaned between each session. Additionally, the tank is filtered and sanitized at least 3 times between each session in accordance with the floatation tank community standards. Float sessions are 60 minutes.
I agree to the following:
-
I will shower thoroughly using ONLY shampoo and NOT conditioner BEFORE entering the float pool, thoroughly removing any oils, creams, or makeup on my body.
-
I will NOT float if I have had any type of hair color/treatment or spray tans within the past three weeks.
-
I am NOT under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
I do NOT have a communicable or infectious skin condition, disorder, or diseases; or open sores.
-
I am NOT diabetic, unless my diabetes is under medical control.
-
I do NOT have a history of heart trouble, epilepsy, seizures or blackouts, OR if so, I have received my doctor’s permission to use the flotation tank.
-
I am NOT experiencing a heavy menstrual period.
-
I do NOT have a condition which may be adversely affected by cutaneous absorption of magnesium.
-
I do NOT have kidney disease.
-
I do NOT have incontinence, or voluntarily/involuntarily release bodily fluids of any kind.
-
I am choosing to use flotation therapy of my own free will and will not hold the owner/operator or Float Shreveport liable for any injury during a session or while on the premises. Float Shreveport reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
-
I have read, understand and agree to all of the terms & policies listed above.
I understand that the float tank solution is not discarded between floats, but is filtered and sanitized; that our tanks are inspected between every single float; and that violation of any of these rules that results in contamination of the float tank solution may result in a cleaning or salt replacement fee of $800-$1000.
Helpful tips!
Do you color your hair?
If you have colored your hair within the last 21 days, the water must "run clear" in your shower before floating. In addition, you may be asked to perform a "white towel test" to ensure no color is left behind on the towel from the wet hair. If you need to postpone your float, please call us and we will reschedule your session at no charge.
Bring a hairbrush
Hairbrushes and combs are NOT provided. Please feel free to bring your own. Hairdryer, straightener and various hair products are available.
Can you get in and out?
Getting in and out of the float pool requires being able to sit down and stand up from the floor easily. Grab bars are provided to assist. If you have any questions concerning your ability to get in and out of the pool, please give us a call.
What do I eat?
Eat a small meal with water approximately an hour before your float. Don't consume a large amount of caffeine or alcohol.
What do I wear?
Dress in loose-fitting clothing that is easy to put on in a humid environment. The float pool and shower can cause a high amount of humidity in the room after your float.
During your float we recommend floating nude. Swimsuits can sometimes make you cold and take away from the sensory deprivation experience.
Don't shave!
Don't shave within 12 hours before your float.
